Friday night we stopped at Four Seasons skatepark. It was a sweet park in an old industrial building. 11 bucks gets you an eight hour session there. It is a rad park, and worth checking out. We spent the weekend sleeping at University of Wisconsin, on the 12th floor of a 26 story dorm building.
We rode Ray's all day Saturday and Sunday. I would like to start by saying, if you ever get the chance to ride this place, do it. Easily it was the best skatpark I have ever been to. In the center is the skatepark section, which was all tranny. Around the outside was the box rhythm sections, which range from 7 to 12 consecutive jumps, and have wild berm hips. There are beginner and expert sections for the mountain bike courses, which have wild set ups and are super fun on a bmx. Riding bridges made of logs connected with large rocks is amazing. There are lounge areas all over with picnic tables and couches with tvs playing videos all the time. One thing I liked is the bike maintenance area, with a truing stand, pump and wrenches. All in all, this park is the greatest place ever for a biker, unless you are some kind of loser who talks shit on trails and tranny. I am debating living in a tent in the parking lot so I can just ride this place full time.
I'm Jealous. Rays looks real fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking we should get a bunch of people to meet there in February or March. They have hotel deals for people going to Rays and it wouldnt cost too much to cram 6 or 8 people in a hotel room.
ReplyDeleteIf you decide to live there, I'll definitely come and visit you... unless you're still eating burritos everyday--in which case, I'll visit nearby.
ReplyDeleteJust not too near.
It looks fucking amazing, though!
