When I was still little, my father would carry me around on his shoulders every time we went to the grocery store. I was always happy, sitting above everyone else--up high, chewing gum, and happy.

He would ask me, "Are you still chewing your gum?"
"Yes," I would say. If I wasn't, I had swallowed it.

I was that kind of little.

One day at the grocery store, he asked me "Are you still chewing your gum?"

"No," I replied.

Not exactly pictures, but I shot some footage of my dad during one of the workshops that he puts on. It's a style of Filipino martial arts primarily utilizing arnis (or eskrima, to some), but also taking advantage of kicking, grappling & weapons, etc.

Rainy, Cold, Generally Shit Weather (and Other Cyclocross Fun)

Last Sunday, I made my way into Holland, MI to run a few errands, and to try and shoot some pics down at one of Krisscross's cyclocross races.

It was cold, it was raining, and it was generally poop--but I guess that's really what you're looking for in a good CC race, so everything worked out.

I don't ride bikes

Hello everybody who is reading this, I'm DJ. I figured that i should give myself a quick intro......
first, you should know that i skateboard. That doesnt mean that i hate bikers, only rollerbladers (But i think we all share a common bond on that one right?). I would love to bridge this gap between bikers and skaters. Thats why I talked to the biker homies about contributing to this blog and i'm hyped to be a part of it. I dont have much else to say, so i'll just leave it at that. Be expecting some local murder mitten footage soon!
